The Activist Lab is seeking applications for the Activist Fellowship that will run during the Spring and Fall semesters in 2018. The Fellowship is focused on advocacy related to transgender rights in Massachusetts. The Activist Fellow will be selected in Fall 2017 and begin work in Spring 2018 semester, working through Fall 2018 (work during Summer term as warranted). The Fellow will be granted 4 tuition credits (paid for by SPH) to be applied to MPH coursework. Please note: The Fellowship activities themselves will not yield credit. However, the Fellow will essentially receive a tuition scholarship. The Fellowship cannot be counted as the student’s Public Health Practicum.
Interested students should submit the application to Dr. Anne Fidler, Asst. Dean for Public Health Practice, by September 29, 2017. The Fellow will be selected by mid-October to allow sufficient time for international students to apply for OPT authorization, with the Fellowship beginning in January 2018.
